CYCLATURES Release Concert
Album release concert for Amy Wurtz’s Cyclatures, a set of 26 pieces for solo piano (and one including voice!). The set features 21 prominent Chicago-based pianists - a monumental coming together of the city’s rich piano community!
Grossman Ensemble: POETIC INSPIRATIONS
Fresh off their first touring performances in Washington, D.C. and New York City, the Grossman Ensemble returns to its home at the UChicago Center for Contemporary Composition to open the 26/27 season with “Poetic Inspirations,” a chamber music potpourri of commissioned works for small ensembles drawing inspiration from the evocative imagery of the written word, visual art, the natural world, and more. Composers Alexandre Lunsqui, Ana Lara, Jonathan Bailey Holland, Leah Reid, Juri Seo, Pierce Gradone, and Zoë Martlew all receive world premieres.
Present Music: FORTY SOMETHING!
A concert and party, as Present Music kicks off its 45th season by pushing sonic boundaries. The night features a distortion-friendly piano concerto with Michael Mizrahi, a World Premiere, and a bold classical remix. Deanna Tham conducts.

Celebrate a triple milestone: the 150th anniversary of the Woman’s Club of Wisconsin, the 10th anniversary of the Luna Composition Lab, and 45 years of Present Music. Continuing the Woman’s Club’s long tradition of championing women, Present Music presents three luminous world premieres by women and nonbinary composers as one of 50 organizations participating in the Luna Composition Lab initiative.
